Please note there are current surface access works and traffic management measures on the internal roads to develop passenger drop-off facilities.
The aim is that on completion there will be huge improvements on the passenger drop off facility.
While the works are on-going the Drop and Go Car Park is temporarily closed and passengers must use car parks 1, 2, 3 and 5.
We recommend that you leave more time for your journey to Birmingham Airport to avoid delays and are suggest you take advantage of the free 15-minute drop off period within Car park 5, clearly directed at the airport entrance. The same drop off tariff within Car Park 1, 2 and 3 has been introduced within these car parks during the works.
Car park tariffs can be viewed here.
The footway/cycleway along Airport Way will also be closed as part of the improvements and users will be directed to Car Park 5 for the duration.
To develop the new car park facility Airport Way is reduced to one lane.
Dropping off
Due to the temporary closure of the Drop and Go Car Park you will have to use car parks 1, 2, 3 and 5 for drop off. There is 15 minutes’ free car parking in car park 5.
Picking up
Car Parks 1, 2 and 3 must be used for picking up passengers. These car parks are only a short two-minute walk from the Arrivals gate and the tariff prices start from only £1 for up to 10 minutes.
Alternatively, you can park for up to 15 minutes free in Car Park 5, a short walk or bus ride from the terminal building.
Red Routes
To maintain visitor safety, red routes are in operation around the airport site. All road users are prohibited to stop, unload or park on the red routes which are clearly marked around the airport. Ignore these instructions and you will receive a fine.
